I use Poser 6 on a Mac OS 10.4.11. Yesterday, the current actor menu got confused and was putting body parts in the camera slot and props in the light slot. Today the current actor menu on both the preview tab and the Properties/parameters pallettes stopped working completely. I can click on the individual body parts and it will change but no amount of clicking will make the menu change. I tried changing the preference back to the factory presets, but no change. Does anyone have any suggestions???

First, I dont know if it's the same on a Mac, but on a PC these kind of errors are usually solved after a proper reboot of the computer. It's like Poser leaves bits and pieces in memory and at some point it gets too much.
If you have't tried restarting your computer (or mac or what it's called) do that. It might solve it.

I tried the restart and it sorta worked. The menu will scroll through the list and "body parts" allows me to choose individual parts and "body" the whole body, but props, camera and lights all show the body parts list. Also, the pull down menus for camera and lights on the left side of the screen won't open until I click on the UI dots arrow. Once I do that they open and the camera one works but the lights can only be selected by clicking on the ball icons. I'm beginning to think this application is haunted!
