I understand that there's an Air Base out in the Arizona desert where the USAF mothballs all its old aircraft, including some that date back to WWII.

Yes, I think I've seen pictures of it. Seems like there'd be a lot of aluminum to recycle there.

Sort of a higher-tech version of this 'toon....

Ahh, Gordon, how does one make a reservation to ride one of those?

Well, there's a narrow gauge railroad running out of Silverton, Colorado, last I heard. I actually rode the thing back in the late 60's. We were doing a ghost town tour. Cripple Creek and so forth.

More pun suggestions for FOTOONZ (more like challenges really):
PUNS:
#1, "Getting a handle on things."
#2, "Too much time on my hands."
#3, "I've got a bone to pick with you!"
#4, "I'm wasted man."
#5, "He's got animal magnetism"
#6, "She's on a roll."
#7, "You can't trust him - he's two faced!"
#8, "She has rosey cheeks."
#9, "She has a real bad crack problem."
#10, "Sunday Driver"
#11, "Sorry Ass"
#12, "He's been really edgey lately."
#13, "Brainstorming."
#14, "Change of Life"
#15, "I'll take a rain check on that."
#16, "Pork Barrel Politics."
Some are lame I know - but I'm middle aged, and where I am it's like 10:30 at night and I've been up since five AM, so it's excuseable.lol.

Some of those I'll add to the "Idea List"! Animal Magnetism and Brainstorm I've already done, although they're not currently on the site. They'll come around again, though. Two-faced is on the list, but I haven't figured a non-repulsive way to do it quite yet. "Crack" has been started, but I haven't gotten around to finishing it yet, because I need to make some morphs for it.
I've got a truly awesome 'toon in the works, but it needs a bunch of modeling work that I haven't had time to do. So many punch lines, so little time....
Thanks for your thoughts! Always appreciated.
