Hm, there are much way's leading to Roma ... though there have been ages there all way leaded to Roma ...

And the way to clear out misbehaving stuff is not the worst one ... even with bought content there are sometimes silly things happening ... just have to split all mc6/pz2 files with such a bought item to have them work as such ... ok, it was rebated ...

But with long time experience in support/programming I have a bit trouble to recommend a editing or more deleting if I'm not sure that the other one is completely aware of the risks and/or the how-to to resurrect if things are running down the drain ... Ok, Poser stuff is normally easy with that, make a file copy BEFORE and all is save ... but you know murphy's law, all what might go wrong, will go wrong ...

Thanks for the flowers
Cheers,
Jo

You're quite welcome, dear - they're well-deserved.

As you said before: Poser File Editor is an incredibly powerful, potentially destructive tool. Big hammer, big holes. It's not for the faint-of-heart, and certainly does require a bit of understanding what can and should not be messed with.
I always save to a secondary file so if I stuff things up royally I can always delete and start over. I guess I'm re-thinking my unequivocal recommendation of using this tool. Just as you've done such a fine job of tutorialising Morph Clothes, someone needs to perhaps do a dummies approach for PFE. That's not to discount the fine job Ralf did with his documentation of these tools: it's really more of a second-view thing. The IOW approach.

Excellent tutorial JoEtzold. Thank you.

Hm, a tutorial for Morphing Clothes is the one side. This is a small region to be overlooked in a simple manner.

But doing a tutorial for PFE or the same for PoserRuntimeOrganizer is a bit of rewritting a book like "Secrets of figure Creation with Poser 5", what I recommend best or it's P6 variant. Despite of the old fashioned title, these are absolute actual. Even P8 has not really much new stuff for these structural things. And if having something new it's a question if to use this while wanting to have a compatibility for older Poser versions or with D/S.

Though a short explanation of PRO could be a good lecture for Poser developers. For example why it is absolutely silly to push conforming clothes including their object into the props folder and giving them the wrong pp2 extension instead of cr2. And more such original crap ... :-(

But a complete tutorial for PFE isn't really doable as such. It would be a compendium of Poser as such ... ok, 80 % ...
Only small parts of actual special interest can/should be done by a tutorial cause tuts are living from there relative short form to be written, read and used quickly according to a specific situation.

Late question... if I am using V4.1 Fantasia body morph, and run Morphing Clothes using her body as the sampling, do I need to use any magnets? Plus after running MC am I still able to do some tweaking on the same clothes using the morph dials if the fit isn't exact? Last but not least, if I choose to use Ultimate Breast Morphs on the same charactewr that I save, do I need to buy any additional magnets to get the clothing to fit properly?

I own several NGM's and at daz there is a sale on magnets for them, I guess the reason I bought MC is to eliminate the need for a batch of stuff that would be redundent. So if you know can you let me in on it?

Happy "T" day everyone!

Ariana

In my approach (the super-conforming approach) any settings in your cr2 get copied to the clothing. Thus, any morphs you might create with, say, NGM, become available to the clothing, so you can dial the clothing like you would the figure.

Well, that's what I do.

But I'm no expert on this product, so your mileage may vary.

Happy I could help, Ariana... 😄

Oooooooo, what's happening here in a few days? Another sale like currently on at Daz?

I've spent so much money there in the last few days - all this stuff at half off that's all on my wishlist. The spousal unit is going to be peeved if I keep this up!

hey! I was wondering!!! Will MC work with TreadZ??? I have the V4-going back to A3/V3, and I need to trim my cart of a few dollars over at daz... in other words take M4 TreadZ out and save the $7 so I don't blow my CC up! LOL! Will MC work to convert those? Oh and the cool Zetta Boots by Bad Kitten, they are for V4, etc, but not the boys. Will MC do those too!???

Between here yesterday and there today, I am soooooooooo broke! :P

ThanX!

D3d claims:
Morphing Clothes is not limited to conforming clothes for human figures. You can also use it for clothing and accessory props, to fit hair figures and props to head shapes, for animal accessory like saddles, and even to transfer morphs between low and high resolution versions of the same figure.

...so I don't see why not. He doesn't explicitly say you can cross-dress your figures, but it would be fun to try.

BTW, bad time of year to be broke - I totally relate!

Oh my stars, Ariana, you're as bad as I am! Good job they have fast grab and that half-off sale at Daz or I would have been in really deep trouble with the spousal unit who tends to take a dim view of my 3D stuff: "Show me the money!!" lol Yup, shore!

Tools like Morphing Clothes and a lot of free stuff on here by Bagginsbill and Ockham and Reddog have opened doors to incredible opportunities, but a girl's got to shop, so every now and then the plastic gets a bit of a workout...

Geez, they SHOULD do, shouldn't they? What a terrible time for them to be doing a thing like that. It's like "hell hath no fury like shoppus interruptus" - well, for me, anyway!
