This is more of a general topic, but twice now I've made comments on my own pictures, but it wasn't really me.....it's my avatar and name, but it's someone elses words....has this happened to anyone else?

No... it sounds as if someone is using your account. Change your password.

What an odd thing to do though....I mean, if you hacked into someone's account why would you comment on their pictures....and whoever it is always leaves really nice comments....
melikia posted Tue, 03 November 2009 at 12:32 PM
its very strange... but good that they left nice comments for you =D
Strange question - but are you 100% positive you're not a multiple personality type person? giggles
also, does anyone else use your computer? if so, you may need to sign out of rosity each time you leave.
only problem is - even with nice comments - with someone else accessing your account, if you purchase things - they can also download them, and this is theft from the vendors.
Its almost as if the person is kinda wanting to be caught to leave comments on your images like that... i think i would freak out if it looked like i left myself comments LOL.

on a less cool part IF ! someone uses your acount..
he/she can also see your personal info ..
As in name adres etc etc ..when you have a RMP account to ..
So be sure and let RO moderators check how and what .. it against the TOS etc etc so the person who is doing it is hacking ... and can face criminal law etc..
it is actualy not a laughing matter ...

very true, Bar-Code - its not a laughing matter... just aspects are funny (the commenting on own artwork - what a stupid thing to do) - this is why i, too, feel it was a hacking job and they just COULDNT resist leaving a mark to show they did it.
and I forgot about all that personal info - at least Rosity doesnt keep your credit card info on file like Daz does....

For fun you should check out what he wrote on my pictures....I mean, for a hacker he really has nice things to say....on one of the pictures I responded right below it, so that one is him (above) and the other me (below).....

well most thiefs say thank you when they rip you off.. so i dont like hacker when they are friendly or not...
You better do a secure check .. because when they did hack your home PC they can easy load in a key loggen and in real time see what your typing as in: passwords ,CC , bank info info etc etc ..
So if your serious about some one else using your account ..
i gues youbetter take serious action too ..
And NO its not Sience Fiction ..
i have seen hacker log everything some one did on his PC ..
from email letters to hot MSN conversation and CC numbers everything .. In real time..
So be warned ...

Unfortunately, I've seen it, too. In fact, in some adult mIRC channels, there's a program that floats around - can't remember the name - but basically, it gives another person complete and utter control over your computer - you can still do things, but THEY can override ANYTHING and EVERYTHING - and they see/log EVERYTHING - what's scary is people WANT this.
My dad even set up his system to log everything done on his own computer... and caught my now ex-hubby going to adult sites... and one is placed on my daughter's computer as well, to monitor her activities.
I was chatting with another friend of mine one night years ago... a techie guru dude... and all of a sudden, he started cursing and then went quiet for about 15 minutes. When he came back, he was chuckling... seems someone had hacked into HIS computer, and he happened to catch them at it... and he returned the favor, with a little time bomb present on the other person's hard drive.
Its like some kind of high-tech sci-fi war, but it IS real, and it happens every day.
Even Rosity has been hacked before - at least once that I can remember in the past couple of years. If I remember right, they even planted a nice little pressie for those who managed to post that day.... i couldn't post (which confused me that day) - the boxes didn't show up at all... but from what I am understanding (and i could be way wrong here), the whole "pressie" part was set up to take advantage of something in I.E. - and those of us who used Firefox managed to avoid it.
Its a sad sad world when people cannot respect other people's privacy/personal space - not only that, but they feel they must destroy it as well.

Seems more likely to be a glitch/corruption in the database and/or a coding error as the number of comments don't match the number attributed to the images in the info.

Your own comments dont show up in the comment count, btw....
