How about clicking on the little tab of the Library Pallet to create a NEW library, and then direct it to the Poser 7 library.

go delete the libraryprefs file from the documents and settings/geep/application data/poser7 folder

Windows probably changed it to read only after corrupting it. Just to keep you on your toes of course. ;)

OK, I have a similar problem. Unfortunately not one that can (as far as I can tell) be solved the same way.
My problem results in the very same error message about the libraries not being created. And the catch is.. I'm running Poser from an external harddisk on a computer where Poser isn't "installed" per se (it's a netbook and it's more than awkward to install stuff on that if it's something that comes on a CD like Poser)
I have been able to run it earlier, but now it keeps giving me that error. And since Poser isn't installed, there's no library prefs file present.
I can run Poser 6 just fine. And Poser 5 and 4. But 7 and 8 refuses to run. I haven't been able to run Poser 8 n the netbook but I know I've used Poser 7 previously.
Any ideas?

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

Have you tried putting a blank libraryprefs file in the folder that markschum mentioned? that might fix the Poser7 problem, Poser8 I think is a different story & you'll more than likely have to reinstall it.
