I dont know of you see like me but we are in december ... All no, only two thing are in summer !
MarketPlace and Gallery are the two place where we cant find winter clothe ( with 2 or 3 exceptions ) , microskirts you want you have , but long skirts, pull, coat ...
You will say " you have to modelize !" but im not a clothe designer, only shaderisigner

Hush your mouth, wear your mini-skirt, and have a shot of brandy to keep warm. lol.
...your thoughts are good though. I might model up a long coat for V4.

Having a look in our marketplace, most of the "clothing" items are not really seasonal OR practical. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing 99% of it except perhaps in a Sci-Fi movie. So, I agree (and I've always thought this) there is a massive opportunity for anyone with a true fashion sense and modelling ability to spread wings.
The main consideration is: will it sell? Or are Rendo customers for the most part not going to want to dress up their dollies in something fashionable instead of something tarty and fanciful? Bottom line is: will it sell? How well is 9mbi doing?

long story short; it's *way* easier to design 'form-fitting' (just make a texture) or really short things (no bones to really rig), than to model something that has to follow the legs, and avoid poke-through...Heck, I'm not at that point yet meself...;) There are some long dresses and skirts out there,
check at whatever.com to find things, both here and there.

What we need is fur-lined bikinis. Everybody loves fur-lined bikinis.
I'm modeling a long dress inspired by a character in one of my favorite games. I'm hoping to finish it eventually. I might even get around to uv mapping it, rigging it, and texturing it.

Or just render catgirls. They come with their own fur.

I agree with that 100%
No one does "real" clothing anymore. I have been working a few real clothing items but keep getting side track with other things to finally finish them.
