it looks more like a boneyard. (what was that inkblot game?)
I would think marble would be like a lightening pattern.
A lightening procedural would be wayyyy wayyyyyy awesome.

RDNA has some free P5 marble procedurals that might be better.

Well, you just know that BagginsBill has done a really good one.
There's one on his site.
Windows 10 x64 Pro - Intel Xeon E5450 @ 3.00GHz (x2)
PoserPro 11 - Units: Metres
Adobe CC 2017

I would go with BB's shader ATM. Although the RDNA P5 procedural shaders are a good starting point, they do lack Gamma correction and proper, realistic node settings to truly reflect marble response to light. Besides, BB might have some new tricks that I haven't found posted yet.

I'd also remove the AO - P8 IDL or light-based AO is better.
And don't be afraid to play with colors. At the top is a Blender with a shader of gray in there. Mess with that.
This was rendered in P8 with IDL and the hybrid GC+HSVETM settings.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
