Hey everyone, I've recently been working on a new scene for Vue but it appears I've been having quite a strange problem that I can't seem to fix.
Here's the first picture: The tree's look as they should, they don't look "blocky" at all.
Here's the next render: Now the trees look strangly "blocky". Like, the leaves aren't detailed anymore, but for some reason, the rocks have more detail.
I've tried changing my render quality, object and texture anti-aliasing, light quality boost, sky-fog-haze global quality boost, I've even gotten rid of the ecosystem and repopulated it, to no avail.
If anyone has any idea what is causing this I would appreciate it!
PS: You'll have to open both picture and switch between them to see the difference.
edit: I'm using Vue 8 xStream if it makes a difference.

It lookks like there is some texture filtering applied, and this migh be the reason why leaves seem to have lost some transparency, creating this "blocky" look. Check the render options, and in front of Object antialiasing, click on Edit, and in the new window, check on the right side if there is texture filtering applied. If so, setit back to zero. and rerender.
If you used a preset, any present above "final" (but not final) now uses tetxure filtering.

Yeah, e-on should have provided a list of all changed default settings (render, import, whatnot) of Vue 8.
I don't know HOW often I had to dig through the settings to get identical results as with Vue 7.5.

E-on providede the Vue7 prsets as well as the new ones. You can find them in the Environment folder of your Vue install directory. To use them, simply tick "user render settings, and load them.

That was it! I had played with the texture filtering but never set it all the way down to zero.
Thank you! I'm going to take down those pictures now though, it's not finished, haha

Strange it creates those artifacts, though. I tried it and I don't have the problem with 33% TF, did you add more than 33%?

The last time I rendered and it looked "blocky" like that it was around 8% TF.
Strangely enough, I used to not get this problem even if it was around 30-40%.
Oh well, it works now I guess.

I made some tests at 33%, and the coconut trees looked alright...

I guess it's just my scene? Doesn't matter anymore though.
