Not to hijack your thread, Steeleyes, but where is the dress available??? I have looked everywhere... didn't she used to have her own site? Seems to me she sold somewhere else at one point...
Perhaps we might get lucky and have Fabi answer these questions herself.

hmmm, I saw that globe before, might be from RDNA, I may even have it...let me look through my stuff. Get back to you. Sharen

the dress is Noctia
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=68868&vendor=60058
it was recently on sale for like $10 and i missed it because Rendo has a completely unclear and non-standard sale end time of the morning of the day they say the sale ends. ah, well. at full price, it's still a steal because it seems to come with tons of morphs, both for fitting and for changing the drape of the dress' skirt.
i'm interested in finding out where that orrey came from, too.
Steeleyes101 posted Sun, 20 December 2009 at 4:34 PM
No! No! Cobalt its not the dress Im trying to find, its the prop on the table Im looking for any kind of prop that looks like that globe with the planets around it dose not have to be the exact same thing.

The bodice looks very much like Noctia (-> http://market.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=68868) which is mentioned in the promo credits.
The skirt portion could belong to that also or to HiddenWinds (-> http://market.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=73741).

From the Sage Babylon product page:
"Coelosphere-Orrery from free models library, under development."
So I'd drop her a note and ask about it.
Ness used to sell one here, but it is probably not quite what you want...
market.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php
It hasn't yet shown up over at DAZ.

um, i know that. and in fact looked to check that it's an orrey and not an astrolab like the one Ness made. i was answering RobynsVeil's question about the dress.

That model is from here:
But it's not supposed to be used for commercial purposes, so i dunno what the heck the merchant was thinking.

I show an orrery from 3dcafe but thats not going to be available unless it got moved.
Aanascent posted Mon, 21 December 2009 at 1:28 PM
I have the old 3dcafe orrery in my archives but there is no readme or attribution of the model for clarification on usage.
Aanascent posted Mon, 21 December 2009 at 2:40 PM
The 3dcafe site is down so I can not post a link.
There is the other download location (presumable mined from 3dcafe) that ghonma linked to above, however.

3D Cafe withdrew their freebies years ago, and they never returned to the best of my knowledge; from the message on their site right now, I wonder if the whole thing is gone for good.

The Inria site was in hot water a while back for redistributing stuff without permission - even mine, and it takes a LOT of effort to contravene my terms of use. ;)
Finally, Archive 3D (which is where Inria claim to have got it from) seems to be yet another of those all-encompassing copyright contravention sites. Try my simple test: download one of the human figures (they always have loads of figures, mostly female). If it has DAZ texture maps included, that clinches it for me.
To summarise, although the model is available, you probably shouldn't use it. :(

Hello :) I finally saw this ...
That model in discussion: I found it at Archibase, then asked them if is possible to render it, just render, because I am not selling that thing... is just a prop.
Then they said that there are not a restriction about rendering it.
Then, I also found it, recently, at INRIA and 3delicious. Both sites never answered about who is the creator. Then I researched for the INRIA titular, Eric Saltel, at the web and Facebook. Found a couple, sent messages, no one is the Saltel from INRIA.
My intention was to buy the permission to make it poser suitable, or rebuild it for that.
Nobody answer.
All this data is on file here for the MP purposes and is just a prop properly detailed as NOT included and NOT mine :)
That is why I didn´t it by myself, but of course everybody can design a different model with the idea because this is not an invention of any 3d modeller, is a astronomical object, as a microscope, a telescope, astrolabe, etc.
About the clothings: Corset is from Noctia and the skirt is the Noctia Dynamic that is a WIP that will be part of a major expansion pack for Noctia Set.
Folks, I am always around... call me if you need me, I love to answer, what I don´t have is the time to read all the forums... but I am always available :)
see ya

So do we still need a coelosphere model? If so, I can put that on my "to-do" list for modeling.

Any progress on locating/ modelling an orrery/coelosphere? I looked on the archibase site and couldn't find the one mentioned...
