I believe Dr Legume was active at renderosity for a while and some of you may remember him.
Theres a notice up at Renderotica that he is in Hospital waiting for surgery after having several heart attacks.
Since he is tight for funds and has no health insurance (like many people) Renderotica is having a special product sale with proceeds going to the Doc.
Anyone interested should check the rotica forum post for details. Its in the general discussion forum by Dthuregrif.
Thanks

Ach! Really sorry to hear this.
I'd happily buy something to help him but I am quite honestly, skint.

Thanks for the news on this.
Ken is a great part of Poser's past. I've assembled a gallery of some of my favorite images of his on my website.
Get better brother, we still need you down here.

Latest news is he was operated on Monday 1/4/09 (heart) and had 5 bypasses. He was in recovery room Monday and was ok in Tuesday. Assuming no complications occur he should be OK.

Folks, if you don't have insurance consider the cost of a medical procedure or stay. I have a very nice plan at under $200 a month, which is affordable with a decent job.
I hope he gets well.

I talked to Doc on Wednesday. He was pretty doped up and tired, of course, but sounded good considering all he's been through.

Thanks. I'll pass along the wishes. I'm not allowed to link to Renderotica here, so I can't give you a link to the store or the thread, but if you want more info, the thread is stickied in General Discussions, title: Urgent!! One of Our Own's in Trouble
