Hello everyone, welcome to the year Jupiter becomes a sun. An image thats been playing in my mind for a while now - i know its been inspired by one of the Recent 'End of the World' type movies. Just wanted to do my own take on it. First i roughed it on a post-it note; as is my usual process, always keep a pad next to keyboard for inspiration. then modelled the Crate. yep it was simple, but as there were going to be lots of them. i didnt want a memory crash. The tanker/cargo ship is an original model of mine - The hull i'll admit was done in autocad, but boolys do the rest: (and before anyone gets technical, this is not based on any specific ship i just *'made it up'*)

Then some texturing of the ship and crate. then multiple crates; rinse and repeat

IIRC the containers fell off the ship like boxes off a conveyer belt.

think this will do, havent decided yet but if memory constraints allow, may drop in the odd container with goods spilling out later. anyway, moving on to the sea, using modified terrains.

Think this is it for the final composition, have added a couple of 'open' crates. dont want to risk it crashing now, so have started the final render. Will probably do some post - rain etc. see you in the gallery. thanks for your positive comments.
