Heck, great time to grab the stuff I wouldn't have bought otherwise (Freak 4, Girl 4, A4, H4).

Not quite ALL.
She-Freak V4 didn't make the cut. Probably due to her relatively recent release.
ALL up to Freak 4.
Still pretty cool though!

Since daz has made all base models free, maybe Renderosity should consider bringing back some of the v3,m3,a3,h3, etc. products as people DL the old stuff (lower price maybe) and start looking for things for those figures.

That's more a choice of the individual vendors to resubmit those items, I don't think Rendo will do that of their own accord.

It will be nice to have all the reduced resolution figures. A baby - hmm, will it keep Vicky out of the temple and the malls or will Posette and I end up taking care of it?

I see this everywhere... on memos, on billboards advertising capsicum's... capsicum's what!?? It's a bit like "its" and "it's"... no one seems to realise the simple "it is" test for a contraction will prevent that shockingly common error.

actually, when i worked with editors, i asked them about something very similar. in fact, they're probably correct. you should use the apostrophe sparingly, but for plurals when it would be too awkward or confusing not to. since "Readmes" doesn't look plural at all, and "me" doesn't take the plural, the apostrophe not only sounds appropriate, it looks familiar enough to be the actual case i asked about.
while i snapped up most of those figures free when they came out, i still didn't have all those reduced res. yay!
TZORG posted Wed, 20 January 2010 at 4:03 PM
I would think the plural of "readme" should be "readus."

Cobaltdream - I strongly agree with you and - I don't have it to hand here - I believe Fowler's English Usage will back me up. The "Greengrocer's Apostrophe" is the bane of the English language.
TZORG - nope, it would be "Readmes", since the rules of plurals generally add an "s" to the end of nouns.

That may be so but in names - which is what "readme" is - the name remains intact.

Pretty sure I have the bone scaling business figured out - the channels all have to exist in the donor rig. I am sure the old version of the "V4 developer kit" that I have been using does not include support for G4/SheFreak 4, hopefully the version I just now downloaded does. If not then I guess I'll have to hack my own blank CR2 together - not a fun project at all since there are huge heaps of crap in the base V4 CR2 that should not go into a conformer (all the LinkParms entries, the deformers, all kinds of crap).
...
Gosh, guess what. No support channels for Girl 4/SheFreak 4 in the freshly downloaded "developer kit". It's like they don't want people to support this stuff.
... and no, David Eaton's version of the blank CR2 doesn't have these channels either (the V4 or M4 versions).

Hiyas Ghost!!! poser 6 here
Got it sorted though
I was using "betterzip" to extract the installers which was somehow corrupting them
after using regular "stuffit" on them they worked fine.

I've tried...; I thought I had it once, then I added some freebie morphs, and P5 crashed; and I can't get them all in again.

I have tried with at least 2 morph packs and they didn't play nice at all. Keep in mind, V4 with just one morph pack is pretty hefty in file size. You might be better off creating several V4's with their individual morph packs.
Plutom posted Wed, 03 February 2010 at 6:22 PM
Yep, tried the same thing with the V4.2 morph ++ (yeah I broke down and bought it and been getting aches and pains in my figures flipping dials and also blurry vision) on The Girl, nope didn't work, tried on Aiko, nope didn't work. However the textures for all do work on each other.
