Hi there.
In P8 using the standard render settings there is an indirect lighting quality slider but I don't see that in the d3d render firefly panel...is it named something else?

IDL has several parameters. The Indirect Lighting Quality render setting is a "training wheel" slider that affects all of them at the same time. SM felt that the individiual parameters were too much for the typical Poser user.

The actual parameters are:

Sample Size
Num Samples
Irradiance Caching

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Irradiance Caching, could you explain this parameter, please? I'm sure it has been explained somewhere but I've missed it. I am never sure what setting I should use for this parameter.

Thank you bagginsbill. I think I'll should stay with the training wheel approach until I get a better grip on things.
