I'm contacting SM support as well but I thought I'd ask here:
Since maybe yesterday night, Poser 8 fails with the following message in the Library window:
FAULT Detected!

• Not running a firewall
• Yes my Internet connection is up (here I am on the web page)
• I am fairly sure my Internet Explorer install is a bit borked, it started to auto-delete cookies at about the same time.

edit: Poser actually doesn't die after this error happens, just the library will not start (almost as bad).  I looked at the SM support page for "Library does not start" and I don't think this is the same problem.  Also reinstalled Flash for IE, no help.

Huh, it occurs to me that I can use Firefox to re-download MS Internet Explorer 8 (even though IE itself cannot download IE, go figure) and re-install it.  Since this seems to have broken Poser 8 I guess I'll give that a try.

Surprisingly, that seems to have fixed it.  Well even a busted clock is right twice a day!
