Yesterday I received an email about a new posting of one of my favorite artists. Unfortunatly it was his last piece here, because Renderosity moderators had removed an earlier piece of his here.
I know RS rules and agree with most of them. Rules are there for a reason, and if someone disagrees he is not forced to post here. My problem is that you are very very inconsistent with them, probably based on which moderator is handing a case. I understand that Renderosity is located in the U.S. and somewhat familiar with the strange views some americans have in regard to nudity etc.
I also know that guns are acceptable while a female nipple is an OMG I am going blind offense. But seriously now:
"I have an image featuring a goblin prisoner tied to a wall removed because it encouraged "acts of torture"
I saw the picture, he was wearing clothing, there was no blood or other fuilds or such. The other person was standing several feet away, not threatening him directly. If he had been a human model his feet would actually have reached the floor, but being a supposed goblin, he was vertically handicapped, lets not offend someone by saying short.
The rendered picture of a non-existant species encourages torture? Have your moderators looked up how many picures of gunwielding persons are in your galleries? Some even show smoke! Indicating recent use. there are pictures of imminent combat, pictures of after combat, wounded, even dead. Don't all those picture not encourage violence to solve problems? Don't wet towels also encourage torture via waterboarding?
Set up rules, but please give your moderators some check sheets, please start to be consistent in your rulings. Driving people away because of such childish ruling makes RS a laughingstock in the comunity.
