I've been doing it the same way as all the other versions. (position prop/ select parent/ select hand/ inherit bends...)
Any Suggestions?
Thanks

I would have said "inherit bends" but you said you looked at that.
Whats with the pant leg in the bottom picture ?

I don't think inherit bends should be in the workflow for a static prop. Have you tried the parenting with inherit bends off?

Yep, turn OFF inherit bends.

I've tried it with and without inherit bends. Does the same thing. I've even tried adding a ball as a primative, parenting that to the hand and parenting the prop to the ball. Same issue just slightly different effect.
And the pant leg at the bottom mark, is actually the bow string deforming when I tried bending the wrist, lol
I'm just not having much luck with poser 8. I have 4 different projects that I started that came to an immediate standstill, all for different issues. oh well. That's what post work is for right?
I'm gonna try to get this one done before the holiday is over lol
thanks,
R

It almost looks like the joint deforms are extending to the parented prop. I would report this as a bug to Smith Micro. Are you up to date with the service packs for Poser 8 ?
If it is a still picture Just position the bow and dont parent it.

I just contacted them about 2 weeks ago about another issue and they sent me the links to the latest updates. I'm guessing I am up to date, but never hurts to check.
