Hello my friends,
It was with heavy heart that I have made the decision to remove my gallery today. I found six more images had been stolen. I could have gone through the moderators, but they really don't have the power to control these kinds of things. The site management could proactively help by adding invisible skins to help. I do understand, in this digital age we are in, that when we post an image on the internet, we are opening ourselves up to such criminal activities. If they truly want an image, screen captures are all that is needed. By not having the right click option or skins over images, this site has not truly protected or tried to protect your work, even on the basic level.
I will always treasure the time I have spent here and the friends I have made. I will check my site mail here if you wish to write me and answer, though many of you have my personal email address as well. I will not be making comments since this is the only image that will appear for a short period, then it will be gone too. I may return if options are added to protect us as artists, but for now, I am done.
Come see me at www.redbubble.com/bunnyclarke
Love and blessings to all my wonderful friends and fellow artists.

your contributions of fractals to the galleries are an exceptional integral part and it will leave a void..sorry to hear that someone wants to steal from you, when I am sure if they asked nicely, you would have provided the script or even parameter for them to play with. I will miss you Bunny a long time and respected friend to many

Sorry to see you leave, but your decision is understandable. The thieves have been doing this for such a long time. It is so sad that some people do not have respect for the property of others.
I shall miss your artworks.

truly sad to lose your amazing fractals due to others' bad ethics and morals...what's so ridiculous about someone stealing another's work is that's what the Favorite button is for!!!!
i for one look forward to seeing your art, talent, and generosity wherever you chose to share it....a true loss to the Rendo community...

I'll' see you else where, for that I am smiling. I already miss your present here and like Richard said there is a void in the fractal world here... not else where. See you in the "Bubble" :)

Welcome to the club. I have had a lot of stuff ripped off from this place. Most of it happened when I was AOM here, and most of it landed in slide shows. There are many people in the world that believe that if it is on the web, it is free to take. They believe that they are flattering us by taking our art without permission and sending it to the world. I don't find it flattering. It's sort of like being raped because you are attractive.
On the other hand, every request that I have made to have my art removed from where ever it was has been honored, except one. It's just PITA to have to make the request.
It still bothers me when my stuff is stolen, but not like it used to. Anything that you put in the web is at risk for being stolen. You just have to be willing to take the risk or not. The reason that I am willing to take the risk is because I have concluded that my art has no real monetary value.
One thing is for sure, when I get one of those inspirational slide shows in an e-mail with all of those great pictures, I delete it because the images were probably used without permission.
I appreciate the comments that you have made on my images. Good luck in the future with whatever you do with your art.

To quote Neil Gaiman: "the danger is not piracy, the danger is obscurity"... I put all my art under Creative Commons licensing; I allow free personal use ( including derivative works) with attribution. I even provide 2000 (ish) width images (one can print a pretty decent 8x10 from these) on my website for nearly all of my images and allow outside linking from sites like Myspace.. I have no doubt that this has helped my google ranking substantially. My website is usually on the first page of google results. Not to mention I have had a fair amount of blog coverage.
Am I making much money selling fractals? no, but I make some, enough to pay for my equipment, and probably a lot more than I'd have made if no one had heard of me. Anyway, for me it's just a hobby; I have a normal job.
