fixes a major bug or two in alpha 1

(like the fact that textures now save...)

I wonder how many other 2.5 users come here to Renderosity?
I'm having a hard time confirming bugs that I run across. If there's enough users...maybe we can start a bug thread here at renderosity, to confirm issues, before sending reports to the bug tracker.

Must admit I only wander by now and then, but felt the texture bug was enough to warrant a trip over I tend to lurk mainly on the 3d World forum nowadays.
