Very nice work Wolf359!!!!!
It has been a few years- I recall you were working with LightWave back then- I love your Cinema4D Poser integration. Very nice!

Heh heh. I guess you don't look around Rendo much. :) There's a Postworkshop contest going on right now... you can find it on the front page.

Well, Postworkshop isn't designed to replace things like the Gimp or Photoshop. It's more a quick and easy way to apply overarching effects to your whole layer. As far as I know it doesn't have brushes, pens etc.

Ahhh but it does, you can use PS brushes inside of it.
Not like drawing it out on a tablet per say, but you can swap what brushes PWS is using with any PS brush you have.

That's interesting. I don't know how to use that yet. Or is it possible in the Basic version?
One nice thing about Postworkshop is that it's so easy on resources. Photoshop always feels like it's going to pull down the computer all by itself.

I'm not sure if it is available in the basic version or not.
You can swap brushes in the Properties panel depending on the Style that you have loaded is using brushes. There's lots of cool stuff you can tweak in the Properties panel...be sure to explore and twist knobs.

The free version limits render size to 800 pixels which is getting small nowadays.

Depends on what you're using it for. If it's for print, yeah. For the web, you can upsize filtered images in Photoshop without significant quality loss. (We're using lossy JPEG already, after all.)

BTW this Appeals to me because I can quickly Convert any of my 3D renders into an image that looks like a "Natural Media" painting
As a person from a traditional art background I find myself wanting to get away from sterile 3D images from time to time.

I've downloaded the Basic version and submitted two images to the contest. Like Wolf said this little app does a great job of washing away that 3D look that comes straight out of the renderer. The Basic version has a lot of option but that 800px limit is a bust for me. I need bigger renders.

Thanks for the kind words!!
I am actually Considering upgrading to the pro version
if it can batch process animation frames
I would love to do some animations in theses styles.
Cheers

Wolf: the Pro version can process animation frames (as a still image sequence in a folder), here is a test render from the beta period of PostworkShop
http://www.vimeo.com/6083201
But if you want to buy the Pro version just for animation purposes, test it in the demo first, because there are a lot of styles producing flickers. Most of the built-in styles (especially those with brush strokes) were designed for stills not for for animation. You can produce cool animated stuff though, if you stay in the toon/anime universe.
