I've been going thru the content installed with PPro 2010, and I've found a file; 3DUniverse-WWRhino_for_WW.cr2. Looking into it I see it refers to an object under geometries; 3DUniverseWWRhino_for_WW.obj. Looking in that folder, I see no OBJ, just a file called Rhino_for_WW.rte
I realize it's an encoded file that needs to be run thru RTEncoder to make an OBJ, but when I try, it doesn't tell me what OBJ it's encoded against. I see it's something that's been present since Poser 5 at least, but there's no instructions or readme anywhere I can find in P5, 6, 7, 8, or PPro.
Anyone know what file it's supposed to be run against, or where the instructions for it are?
I've got several of 3DU's Wacky World characters and I'd like to be able to use this one, too.
Thanks
Jerry

Have you tried decoding it against the cr2 file? If not it's probably encoded using the Hippo obj from the Heavies.
edit...
I just found it on the 3DU website
3duniverse.co.za/viewproduct.asp
It was a free addon for the Heavies. :D

That free (to 3DU members) download is the Ross Rhino character (an excellent freebie from 3DU's Wacky World series) - it includes a Ross.OBJ, not a rhino.RTE, and a WW Rhino.cr2 file plus a full color posed thumbnail PNG - the rhino.rte version comes with a Rhino_for_WW.cr2 and a Rhino_for_WW.rsr that looks like a screenshot of a plain mesh of the other figure in default pose.
I find the the Rhino rte is present in my "vanilla" installs of Poser 5 thru PPro 2010, so I kind of assumed it's part of Poser's legacy content installers - I just don't remember any discussion or instructions mentioning it's existance.
Just an oddity I noticed. I thought someone here might know something specific.
Thanks anyway.
