Just wondered if anyone has used this before. They have a sale going on and thinking of doing it.
Wondered what the quality was of the product.

I have not used Snapfish, however, a chain fast food seafood place offered a free photo book from Shutterfly if you had a few receipts for dinners. We got the little booklet and I wondered if the ordinary snap shooter out there would have probs putting the books together...

You do have to join the site, at least for a while. You have to upload enough images to the site to make the album.

If this is anything like Snapfish offeres, which I do not know, the book is a nicely done 8" x8" hardcover with a nice shiny print on the cover and a smaller one on the back.  We got 22 pages of drop shadow images printed on semi- glossy paper with text. The photos are printed as  part  of the page on decent stock. The booklets can be recommended and I do plan to do another sometime, one I pay to get.

You might go to www.shutterfly.com and check out their photo books and compare..  I  found the booklet we got a nice way to record a portion of time in our lives and do it with a simple selection of photos and  thoughts.   No, it is not a "coffee table book" but for the price is worth it to hold a few memories..

As with any online printer, it is advised to have a print or two made to see now color interpretation balances with your view at home and the actual print. I would not order a "photo book" without knowing already if printed color is what I want to see.

Tom,
Yep, the color is the one thing I am worried about. I started the lay out. Its pretty easy to set it all up.
Its on sale right now for a 8x11 book with 20 pages (2 sided), hardcover for 10$. Not bad. So I think I am going to try it out and see how the quality is.

Now the work of picking which images to use.

I'll let ya know how it turns out when i get in in a couple weeks i would suppose.

I got my Snapfish photo book yesterday. I have to say I am **VERY** impressed with the quality and look of it.

Very nicely done. 2 sided printing, the set up for it was very easy and sharpness and color of the photos is beautiful.

I got mine on sale at 1/2 price (10$ + shipping). I wish the regular price was a bit less. But for a personal collection of your work it is well worth it imo even at reg price. They often have sales so if you are looking for something like this, keep your eyes open at their site. Right now I believe they are offering a 2 for 1 on the books right now.

Included a shot of it here.

Looks good to me.  The Shutterfly one I have is quite nice, too.  I am not sure I had the option of a single large photo like the left one on your image, likely did but didn't use it.  This does make a nice presentation, a small portfolio of sorts.  Thanks for the report back.
