Windows 7 did an automatic update last night and now when I launch PoserPro 2010 it will start up and then automatically minimize itself.   I can't get it to maximize at all.   Even by launching the task manager or by alt+tab it won't go to it.

I will probably try a system restore to see if I can get it to behave.  how annoying!

I'm not blaming this one on Smith Micro, because I did a google search and it seems that other programs are having the issue too.

Someone helped me with this earlier

This will happen if you Close Poser Minimized.

You can edit the Poser UI to fix this, if you do not want to lose custom settings. Before Launching Poser, Open the UI Preference File and go to the end and look for Open Maximized and change from 0 to 1... or you can delete the UI Preference file

For those using older OS, just right click and select Maximize...  (Right Clicking in Windows 7 on the item in the Task Bar, and right clicking on the Program name in the right click menu then selecting Properties will allow you to change the Open Options. This works for some users... does for me on Windows 7 32, does not on Windows 7 64)

I deleted Dig_Preferences  and that didn't help.  Wondering if I should reinstall?

Filename may vary depending on your screensize. Delete it and PP2010 will recreate it or modify it as ratscloset said

I would strongly suggest to change Windows automatic updates to update download reminder.  That way, you will have the opportunity to select downloads as opposed to encountering an unauthorized installation.

Absolutly. That way overnight (or longer) renders aren't hosed when Windows automatically reboots, and that will keep the dreaded shut down when minimized poser problem from occuring as a result too.

Windows 7 updates caused PoserPro 2010 to constantly crash on my system. It became so bothersome that I ended up removing windows updates. :(
