I have a wide screen monitor. I would like to split it in a right and a left half. Can someone confirm that this not possible, so I can stop looking. I have several options, but not this one. Dragging the windows doesn't work.
A vertical split is very handy for modifying characters for a wide screen.
Is this the same for Carrara 8?

Hi Pjotter,
After clicking on the two-window icon, hold down the shift key and click the two-window icon one more time. When the window divides, it is always horizontal. Holding the shift key and clicking again reorients it to the vertical position.

Thanks Mark. You are better then the manual. This is one of those things that Carrara is very easy. If you know how it works.

He is indeed. You don't have to press the shift at least not in ver 7 windows.

Got it. Just keep on clicking on the button. And the 3-way split has also several options. I think we need a better manual. Carrara has functions not mentioned in the manual, so you can miss a lot.
