Hi all,

I refer to the Free GI Lightset for C6 Pro that was posted to the DAZ Carrara Freepository forum. I've asked the same question there, but have had no response possibly due to the fact that it is a sticky note.

Anyhoo, I have downloaded it , and opened it in C7 Pro, but am having problems with getting V4's head in proper focus. When I load up V4, she is within the production frame of camera 1, but appears a little distorted.

So I try to alter the production frame, but when I do, that's when I seem to lose control completely. V4 just about flies off the scene altogether, and other times her eyeballs come out of their sockets !

Any help appreciated.

regards,
Andrew

I'm not sure this is really the case with your scene, but I usually have similar problems when my scene scale is not optimized for my character. The best scene scale for V4 (and most human figures) is "medium". You can change the scale in Scene properties (Interface tab).

Also when the camera is clear but is not showing things properly, the problem could be that the distance to near plane is too large. (That is set in the camera's general properties)

Thanks, but the scene is already medium.

I'm just trying to fix an apparent distortion which is most likely due to the focal length being too short. I have tried zooming out, farting around with the production frame, and then zooming back in, but nothing seems to work.

ALSO ..... I've just about been going blue in the face trying to find a thread submitted by the author of the GI Lightset. IIRC, it had some useful information in it, and it was in one of the DAZ forums.

If someone could provide me the link for this thread, I would be most grateful.
