I’ve entered my latest rendition created using 3DSMax into my gallery. I know the Bryce forum being my home forum  it’s considered a heretical third party software but hay, that’s too bad…lol. Also a small animated GIF of the character modeling progression can be viewed [ here](http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2801193&page=1) for who ever is interested. Hope you enjoy it.

A fantastic work, I might not have seen it at all without this thread, because I don't often check the 3D Studio Gallery, thanks for sharing!

LOL…I know that Eighty just pulling your leg there. I didn’t quite fully understand your question as stated. Corrie, that’s a good link but I would think that an underwater explosion isn’t all that different except that you would have plenty of water displacement together with plenty of air bubbles.  Here are some underwater explosion scenes I gathered from the Internet. Some of these show underwater volcanic activity which may or may not be viewed as actual explosions. The bottom last scene is a game frame capture from “Silent Hunter” by UBISOFT used here purely for illustration.

Quest posted Fri, 14 May 2010 at 4:55 PM

Here I’ve created an underwater explosion scene using the tutorial I posted above except I didn’t use the part that shows the radiation point. On the next layer (water displacement) I used the same tutorial except changing the colors to 9BDBDF and 256577 respectively. Using a soft eraser tool on the displacement layer to let the explosion show through. I then used another tutorial for making a bubble brush in Photoshop: [Bubble brush Tutorial](http://fx.worth1000.com/tutorials/161173/tutorial) and using my wacom tablet I painted 2 layers of bubbles. Finally on the very top new layer I filled it with a sea water color 508968 and reset the layer mode to hard light.

Another scene using a second water displacement layer set to “linear dodge”.
