Total newbie here...the whole reason I purchased Poser was to eventually develop a gargoyle. Having said that - I am at a loss. Is there gargoyle contenbt out there? I don't even know how to start from scratch or make morphs.

The Daz Gremlin can also be used, along with my Draconian wingarms as well.
I'm sure Rawart also has something as well over at Daz that could also be used for diversity.

I'm sure any of the DAZ figures would make good Gargoyles with the creature morphs and a few pairs of conforming wings.

I've also seen some awesome gargoyles here in the Market Place (it's frequently in that right-hand advert) I don't know if they're posable though, I think they're props.
Hm now I want to model a gargoyle LOL!

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

So, since I am stll new, you think I can take a model - say Simon and morph him into a gargoyle?
TrekkieGrrrl posted Fri, 21 May 2010 at 8:32 PM
Not Simon. Or.. Well.. That depends on your morphing skills. And of course it also depends on which kind of gargoyle you want. Perhaps if you could show a pic of something like what you were going for we could better tell you what is possible and what is, if not impossible, then at least hard to do :)

Well, I like this one, but I would change him somewhat:

Like this guy too:

Simon doesn't have any built in creature morphs or addon morphs that I know of for that extreme of a character. That doesn't mean you couldn't morph him with the Morph Brush if you felt like digging into it and learning how to use it.

Tint his skin a similar color to the color of the add ons, and you'd have something useable.
There will always be a tradeoff though between how much work you want to invest, over just buying something you could already use.
Daio used David to make a Gargoyle a few years back...

The Creature Morphs for M4 and V4 come with a 3 fingered morph and facial morphs to get close to the look on http://images.epilogue.net/users/abi/the-Gargoyle.jpg , tho you'd have to work it. I've been considering trying to make something like this as well. A few resources I've purchased that I feel will help:
V4 Morphs++ (needed for creature morphs)
V4 Creature Morphs (also includes legs similar to your pic)
'Lizardwoman' for V4
The last one I got simply for the tail that is included, which is a awesome tail to work with. scale it up and it'd fit that just fine.
The Morphs++ comes with a 'no fingernail' morph and the Creature Morphs comes with not only a 3 fingered morph, but the double knee legs as well. I imagine some scaling would be neccessary to get the legs to bulk up to give us large claws on the feet. My plans for the hands would be to apply the 'no fingernail' and 3 finger morphs and then do a pinch/pull/bend job on the fingertips with magnets (while I'm not up on creation of morphs, my results with magnets so far surprises me >.> ). If magnets aren't your thing, could always use the claw morphs instead of the no fingernail morphs that come with creature morphs, but you'd get smaller claw tips.
Couple that stuff with the wings previously mentioned, maybe you'd get good results?
