Long story short, my car decided it wanted to reinact what happens when an IED strikes a vehicle. One minute, it was fine, the next, it was aflame on the side of the road and I was standing there going 'Wut'. I'm fine, but it was the only vehicle we had in the household, and I live too far from my job to walk on a daily basis, especially since the only routes into town involve hazardous, twisty roads where pedestrians could easily be smooshed.

My insurance company should help out some, but it was an older vehicle, and I'm going to need to come up with a down payment.
