There was someone who posted in the Marketplace Forum over the weekend who had been here since '05, and it was their fifth post.  Apparenlty a person of few words.

However, there have been some really off-the-wall comments by a couple of folks lately, making me wonder if accounts have been hacked, or at least excessive alcohol consumed (and I'm not referring to the recent GC threads, excepting the posts made by Sams alter-ego)

At least that's what I thought. Now I'm not sure. Pehaps coltrace really IS a flaming a-hole sock puppet for someone else? The low posting count kinda suggests it's a sock puppet only brought out on special occasions.

Sam, you have every right to be angry about it.

It is no fun having things like that happen.
Someone managed to hack my main account on another server and I never did get it straightened out.
They would not let me change my main screen name and changing password did not help.
so I don't use it anymore.

Only they used mine to send a virus to folks and I caught wise when someone emailed me to ask about a file I sent them and why.
I had not sent a file.

I think we should all say thanks for the warning because it might happen to someone else and with more serious fallout.

1. Never EVER trust ANYONE with your important stuff, except very VERY best mates
   of which I have 2 and know basically all our lives, morelike brothers.
   if folk want to borrow tools, computer etc, p*ss off, get their own, ALWAYS gives you grief otherwise

2. never EVER give the cops crap, it only causes you more grief long term
   grin be nice, and swear inwards.
   and never ever approach a cop up close without permission

3. When you have to "banjo" someone, do it with no witness, and never EVER punch them except in true self defence, you can break your hand, blind or kill them far too easily.
   good old slap in the ball sack is best of all, hammerhand, going upwards
   or my fave is just to grab their balls, stamp on their foot, lift and twist.
   "When you got 'em by the balls, their hearts and minds wlil surely follow!"
