And it it took about 3 weeks but still needs a lot of tweaking (aspecialy for Tomo which is almost stationary).
Please keep in mind that I didn't use any BVH files - everything was done by hand.
And now is the question: is it worth spending time on such things (3 weeks here) when as a result you get 22 sec long animation only:(

Outstanding animation , almost unbelieveable that this was done by "hand"....I'm having a major sulk at the moment after watching this sublime piece of work as even possible in Poser
without motion capture help.
Three weeks seems like you rushed this a bit lol.
Great work

Thanks for these good opinions.
I did ask some friends of mine what they think about it (before posting) - they just noded their heads and asked: what is it exactly :) - so as you see I coudn't get any help from them.

Hell even I could tell it was a scene from a city corner bus stop with a couple arguing in front of some guy leaning against the building waiting for a bus or cab. Great work!

Great realistic movement! It doesn't have that 'slowly wading through water' feel that a lot of beginners' animations have. You should definitely do more.

I think it had great realistic movement. I hope to see more from you!! :)

You got talent for animation and storytelling, really like this as it is a convincing plot and almost terrific movements.

Depends. Is it fun to do and are you learning along the way and did it give you more ideas to try and do you have time in the future to produce them?
By the way. Dam good for animation done by hand and not by mocap.

Another long term "bvh bender" tips his hat to your animation skills. Keepp at it if you enjoy it and with work of this quality I'm sure you'd have plenty of interest if you chose to become a vendor.

That is awesome work! ... the movements were pretty fluid and i could tell exactly what it was about .... is the next challenge for you to add voices?

yes, that's a good production rate. at 15 min. per frame, it works out to 3 weeks (5 days per
week, 8 hrs pr day). anything more than 15 min. per frame and it's time to hire some 3D gofers.
they'll actually work much longer hours for almost no money (or so I heard).

Very nicely done. You've done some excellent keyframing work there and it does capture a lot of the essence of human motion.
If I had any critiques, I would suggest tweaking the sequence where the character falls down after being punched--it seems a little bit too quick to me.
But overall, excellent work. I hope to see more.

That's some pretty nice craftwork. Add some supernatural stuff and it will be awesome. Getting realistic motions is tough business, but I reason "if I wanted it realistic I would use a regular camera and film real people", and therefore realism is not my highest priority. It's the larger-than-life aspect that fascinates me. Impossible camera movements and super abilities, and more. But I do wish I were as good as you at making a true-to-life everyday scene.
Keep up the good work!
PS. I'm lazy. Can someone briefly explain what "tweaking" means? DS. /Swede

A slight adjustment covers it..I think.
