I would like to say thank you to the STAFF for taking the time to even look at my glossy boring stuff.... Im glad that you liked it.... and I appreciate it.

It really doesn't matter that some folks dont like my stuff.  I do however find it awfully rude to stop into a thread like this and cut folks down and make them feel like crap for something they did.

Quote - I said that they were glossily pretty, but to me they look more like Merchandise Showcase pics, than any thought provoking art. Where's the underlying message that all art should convey.
dph

I dont need an underlying message all the time, sometimes we just like to do plain old art, or portraits. I am not here to start a fight, but why would you make a comment like that??  Have some courtesy and respect for other people would ya.

Again, thank you to the Staff!!

Quote - The staff picks are all glossily pretty, but lack any real originality in content.

'ALL' ? An unreasonable comment and incorrect. I do not produce glossily pretty pictures, but maybe some people do, as an aside to the meaning within thier work,

As for lacking originality: take a snapshot of a critic's face and that single snapshot does not fully describe him/her. Take a series of images and a meaning or story may emerge, the longer the series and the closer to meaning we can get
