Subject: Using products made for Daz Studio in Poser?

I purchased EveryDay Lingerie for the V4 Bodysuit from the Daz Site.  The promotion page said that it was 'optimized for DS".  I did not read that to mean DS only.

I would like to use the extension for the body suit in Poser, and I installed it to a temp directory.  The files under People/V4 are of type '.ds' and the textures are under the runtime/textures.

Is there a way to import or convert products like this to work with Poser?

Thanks for any help,
Dennis

There is a free addon for D|S called "Poser Format Exporter", you can probably export the item with that and then be able to load it in Poser.

If that doesn't work I suggest you return it and just keep a careful eye on that kind of thing in the future.

edit: hmmm that does not handle materials.  If that item consists of transparency maps, as it sounds, maybe you can set these up yourself by hand in Poser's Materials room.

I just looked at the product ID number and there is a ds designation present which means that it is a DS product only.  If you want it to work in Poser, you will need to manually reconstruct the maps in the material room.  Otherwise, as pjz99 suggested, As for a credit or refund.

Thanks for the information, both if you.  I am not new to the material room, so I will apply the textures and transparencies that way.    If I get it to work, I will post back here.

I agree that this was my fault for not paying attention.
