Subject: New advertising gateway

markschum ( ) posted Thu, 01 July 2010 at 9:52 AM · edited Thu, 21 November 2024 at 8:02 PM

Today I find that renderosity has added an advertising gateway on every page which allows third party sites to execute php and javascript in their ads.

I have downgraded renderosity from trusted to "bad" in my virus and spamblocker because of this addition.

I guess that explains the problems I've been having....thanks for the heads up!

Renderosity might want to direct their attention to proadsdirect.com as the source of the problem, as well as hubspot.com and foxycart.com. I know the site needs to generate revenue from ads placement but when 3rd party ads start interfering with the clientèle usage, then it's time to bid adieu.

Hmm. It must be about time for the annual Bar-B-Q and foot shoot. ;-)

Whatever it was they did, I now get no ads at all when browsing with Opera, so I'm one of the happy ones for a change! My apologies if that comes across as unsympathetic... :)

Same here... I'm using Firefox with Adblock and NoScript... Works wonders... I really should get Malabytes back in but the tech that serviced my computer 2 weeks ago took it out for some reason... AVG and Malabytes doesn't get along, I guess???
