Hi all,

I've Poser 6 running on Mac OSX and would like to know if there is anyone who has switched Poser over to another platform (PC with Windows 7 professional)

I only have the Mac version of Poser 6 on the DVD so can i ask Smith Micro (i think ?) to provide me with a downloadable PC version ?

Thanks
Wim

You will need to purchase an Upgrade to Poser 8 or you can purchase Poser 7 Download while it is still offerred.

Poser 6 was platform specific so your License is only good for MAC.

With regard to content... The Libraries should work on either Windows or MAC. If you have installer Content (DAZ3D) you may want to download those available again and rerun the installer.

The libraries will work because they are not platform specific. I didn't even re-download the installers; I just linked to my existing Runtime.

BTW, isn't going from Mac to Windows counter-productive? I'll never go back, ha!

The reason I said should work and not will work is some older products were MAC or Windows only and also Python from Poser 6 will not work in Poser 7 so they will need updates.

The Figures and such should not be an issue and I think most everything was updated by Vendors.

Too bad Poser 6 is platform specific :-(
So i will probably have to consider upgrading...
