This was addressed here back before release of Poser Pro-Pack, but after installing PPP I find the following procedure doesn't work any more......................................... "Adding objects to a library without transparency showing on thumbnail? by nerd on 7/22/00"......... "1. For PC set color depth to any thing but 32 Bit. 2. Render the object 3. Display> Paste rendered image onto background. 4. Move camera so only the background is visible. 5. Now save your figure to the library. The rendered image will now show in the library"...................................................................................... I am on a PC with 24 bit color depth. Poser 4.03 with Pro-Pack. Any suggestions appreciated..... Buck

Render the image (91 x 91), export image as .png format and replace the one that PPP creates when you save the image to the library. The thumbnails in PPP are no longer in .rsr file but .png. Lourdes

Thanks Lourdes. That works fine. I discovered that the image must contain an alpha channel, though. Guess I'm gonna have to educate myself on masks and alpha channels. Thanks again, Buck

If you export it in tiff format, it should have the alpha channel. Then convert it with alpha channel intact from your paint program. Lourdes

Thanks again, Lourdes. That works better yet. Buck
