I am having a problem, I think. If i enter the terrain editor, the terrain looks flat with some small bumps. I can hit the mountain button, and although the terrain changes, it still stays relatively flat.
I seem to remember it not looking so flat in the past. Is there a setting i am overlooking?
It has been a while since i created a terrain, so did an update change this?
I am using Vue 8.5 Infinite. It could be graphics card related, i guess. I did get a message that not all features are supported by my graphics card; which seems strange to me as my graphics card is an ATI HD4850 with 1 GB DDR3 RAM.
Which brings me to another question. What graphics card works best with Vue 8.5 Infinite that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? (Meaning, under $250.00)

It works fine now. I reset all settings to default. I do not know what setting it was that was causing it though.

You might've changed the seed parameter in the Options tab of the terrain editor by accident.

Actually, i figured it out. I think E-On changed the way they handle the terrain editor. What was happening is I was choosing 2048x2048 in the initial dialogs for size, thinking that was for resolution. Once I reduced the size, the editor looked normal; or at least as i remember it.
