I realize the solution to my problem is likely to used painted hair, but before I resort to that I just though I would ask.

Is there any hair model that anyone knows of, or a technique to pose V4 hair when her head isn't perpendicular to the ground? For example if she is leaning over something the natural laws of gravity would dictate that her hair should hang forward at perhaps a 90 degree angle to her face. Or if she is looking up to the sky her hair should hang at a 90 degree angle to the back of her head.

Is there any way at all to do this with modeled hair?

Thanks

This might help you, it uses magnets and pose controls.

Thank you for your reply. I actually have that tool, I got it a couple of months ago to try and solve this very problem. I think the tool does work for some things, mostly small adjustments that might not be available with the hairs original morphs. But if I have Vicky looking up at the sky and attempt to pose her hair so that it's falling to the ground, it very quickly starts ripping apart. It's stuck to the back of her neck. So even if you do manage to rotate it in the direction that gravity would normally take it, the hair is curved at all kinds of weird angles.

You might try working with dynamic hair.  That hair will follow the figure's pose so if it's leaning over, the hair will fall with the figure.

Unfortunately you can't make a hair prop, dynamic.   You will have to find some hair that was specifically made to be dynamic.
