The all alone in the universe syndrome.
i feel like i broke it, or i'm doing something terribly wrong and everyone will make fun of me cuz i ask silly questions that should be obvious to even the newbiest of poser users.

Feel lonely because the app let you down. It's like, I thought we were tighter than that.
It's not the tool used, it's the tool using it

Oh trust me, I'd rather ask a "dumb" question than spend hours tearing my hair out. Also as I've got older I forget stuff so I just excuse it as a "senior moment" and ask anyway.

I made myself look a right berk on another forum just this morning by getting something totally wrong that I should have known & I've been playing with Poser for years.

Nope, not ever. If it bugs me, I'll ask.

Frustrated, annoyed, uptight, loosing sleep, well yes and no ,
I was minding my own business illustrating for a charity in India and the museum director asked me if I could help out , they had commissioned a animator to make a film, and the animator had let them down.
Muggins here was asked could I help!
Having practically no knowledge of animation.
For the last year i have been ploughing through poser and its idiosyncrasy
I thank you all for the last two weeks I have had more help and picked up more tips than in the proceeding 11months or so.
When you are feeling lonely at night, don't get uptight , just remember the joy on the faces that will see the film, the renderosity forum has helped to make.
Thank You All

I know what you're felling, MLPrincess... yes, I also feel a bit lonely, because after all we do live in a real-life, real-world environment where people - well, the people around me, anyway - tend to take a bit of a dim view of Poser as something a bit weird and "do you make porn with that?" so I kind-of keep it to myself. Plus, I live in Oz, so a lot of you folks are asleep when hair is threatened at the roots and I'm looking at my 3rd V (energy drink) in hopes that the answer lies there. Oh, and PLUS lots of my problems are with shader development, and there aren't too many that go there, full-stop.
And people wonder why we enter the cloth room with such trepidation. I can feel an icy-cold blast of unfriendly wind every time I open the door to that room. You?

Time is short. Don't waste it on rediscovering stuff on your own that people here can give advise on that they may have suffered with already.
No such thing as a stupid question. And just ignore the angry people here who hate any attention being taken away from them.

i've got no problem asking, but most of my Poser problems don't get answered here. i mean, i learn tons here, but the actual debugging type problems are specific to whatever i'm doing (or trying to do). general stuff is cool, and when i have no clue about something, asking questions is very helpful. but when i'm about 9 steps along a 10 step process and trying to get the performance i want out of something i've made, i'm just on my own and frustrated. that's when i feel discouraged and all alone. and that's when the support of people in this community (like the ever-helpful RobynsVeil) is absolutely invaluable.
