Hi I want to make an Iron for ironing clothes. I want to make it in wavefront object format for use in Poser. How would you handle making the electric cord? Considering the iron will be in wavefront .obj format. I know how to model the cord. What I'm wondering is how would you handle it so it could be used in Poser.

Best way is to make it with Splines.
Will see if I find the tutorial link I think will show the way to do for you.

Yes I know that. I should have been clearer . How would you place the cord so it could be used in Poser?

Ah OK, I'm sorry, you wrote it...
I would place it as a part of the iron, make the iron a character and the cord with a lot of of bones (in the Poser Setup Room) and make them with "Easy Pose Underground" by Ajax moveable.
Or you make the cord moveable with Morphs.
Hope this is what you are asking for. Sorry but I'm not a native speaker....

You mustn't rig in Poser if you use "Easy Pose Underground" by Ajax! The only thing you have to do is painting the bones in Poser Setup Room. Before painting the bones in Poser, you have to cut the cord in your modeller. Say you will paint 20 bones in Poser, you have to cut the cord in 20 pieces before you export it as wavefront obj.
