These images are of feathers shed by an elderly red tailed hawk at the raptor rehab I frequent.  The hawk has a bad wing and is an "educational" bird, going to schools, museums, campgrounds and events to help teach people about the wild raptors and our relationship with a part of nature.

The stately old bird is molting now and Katie (one of the founders of the center) collected these feathers and made simple images.  Katie sent these to me and said it was ok to post the images, simply to share the beauty of the feathers.                 TomDart
