Anyone here use Blacksmith3D?  I see that DAZ3D has a sale for it.  Just curious if it's a "must have", "should have", or "never have" app.

For me it's a must have. Use it so much years now, can't conceive to morph without it. OK, I morph in Cinema 4D and Poser too, but  most of the clothes and character you'll find in my store are made in Blacksmith 3D. I didn't paint or model with my Blacksmith 3D Suite, I only use the morph tool.

I'm not sure what exactly it's morph tool does but the painting aspect of it feels a bit outdated when you compare it to some of the other programs out there.

I would download the demo or free version and try it out first. Also Future Paint 3D http://www.futurepaint3d.com/ , similar to Blacksmith, I liked a lot but after seeing how texture and bump projection painting worked in Sculptris the whole 'cloning' thing feels a bit ancient.
