I have not been able to log on to this site for the past 3 days because of some mysterious error and had to verify my email address and GIVE MY PASSWORD! (Obviously not too happy about that last part, I mean tried to  log on with my password, but no, we have to confirm its YOU.)

What gives???

I wrote an e-mail (using the e-mail I use for here) and I called (Monday am, toll-free thank you!)
But no explanation.
Yes, I'd like one.
Failed backup? Hacking attempt thwarted, but not without complications?
Ease my mind please. I'd hate not to have to visit here.

The reason you have to revalidate your email is because your email you have listed on your profile here was bouncing when newsletters, promotions, etc go out to you. Once the bounce happens so many times in a row, it automatically sends your account into a "revalidation" status until you confirm your email is valid/correct. When validating your email we have to ask the password to ensure that it is you and not someone trying to change your email. This measure is to protect you and keep your account safe.

So no hacking attempt or anything else has been made, this issue for you was due to multiple bounces to your email address.

Thank you for the explanation.
Just curious as I have been getting the newsletters and thread update notifications and the calendar updates.

I'll double check my end.

Thanks again.
