For those of you wanting to learn Blender there is a hour of video training on the 3D Artist DVD (Issue 18). As well as Goblinz from Sixus and 50 seamless textures :)
3D Worlds DVD has Carrara 7 Pro, Mimic Pro for Carrara, a pack of 170 Carrara shaders (DigitalPainters Shaders Vol II) and an 80 minute training vid for carrara. Pretty sweet starter pack huh :) and a 25% discount voucher for Carrara 8 Pro :)
And 130 Metal Textures in jpg format, with bump and reflection maps.
And.....and.and.and. oh loads of stuff :)

John, thanks--and since Issue 132 is now in Books a Million, will be lurking there beginning the last week of this month-its a good thing they 3D World Magazine stuck on the top row of the top shelf partially hidden so I can easily get my copy without them running out first---Darn those college students. if steve's 3dworld CD is a CD, then there's no way it can hold both mimic and C7Pro full version,
as the latter alone is 1.6 GB or more. unfortunately we have no way of getting this info from
steve/3dworld, as sales would be negatively impacted if they admit it's a CD.

3D Artist has a regular monthly Poser tutorial page - nothing earth-shattering, but you might pick up an idea or two....shameless plug as it's me that writes the Poser tutorials!
