1. how on earth can I send a cr2 file to someone to let them create INJ/REM files for me? The cr2 file is too big to put in an email....
:)

1, You could create a free account at 4shared and upload the cr2 file there, then offer the resulting dowload link to the person via email.
2, I would be willing to help though I tend to do all of my rendering in carrara7pro.

www.sprend.se (Good if you are in europe)
megaupload.com
You can upload a file to someone's email address, then the recipient recieves an email, and they get a download link. Then the file disappears. You can password protect it too. (I know this works with sprend, not sure with megaupload) I know there are other sites like this too. :)

Hi Benney
Carrara 7 pro.
Rendering do you have any links to free tuition? I am collecting as much information as possible
Having received 3D worlds free disc , Carrara rendering how does it compare to Poser fire fly or does that not apply as a question of comparison.
Thanks

I have tried to upload the file at 4shared but it gets to a certain point and then stops... :(

Give me a little time and I will either email you a list of all of the links I have regarding carrara tutorials or post them here for you.

Yeah but for some reason it is still 33mb .. am I doing something wrong?
benney posted Thu, 19 August 2010 at 4:46 AM
At 33mb it shouldn't have any issues with 4shared as the maximum free upload limit is 200mb. Have you tried renanming the zipped file as sometimes the title of the file can be recognized as spam.

what should I name it as??
benney posted Thu, 19 August 2010 at 5:01 AM
if you have "cr2" as part of the name then I would suggest erasing that part of of title and just use the name of item and not the file extension type as this can be trouble than you think.
If you still have issues you could use "Yousendit" or "Rapidshare", but if you use either of these I would suggest locking the zip file with a password that you can send to the eventual reciever for he/she t to be able to un-lock it.

I would suggest sending the file direct using Windows Live Messenger instead of email.

I do have an INJ file but it only works with V4 for some reason
benney posted Fri, 20 August 2010 at 7:26 AM
I think that INJ files are constructed for one model base at any one time, meaning that if you want a specific result for your chosen model base then you will need to find the INJ file for that model base and edit it accordingly.... (but I could be wrong).

Yes you can do that with instructtions regarding exactly what you are looking for regarding the final render and I will see what I can do for you.

Not looking for anything in particular. Just whatever you want to do. I am good at face rendering, like without the body in the shot, because I have no good props and such I just stick to faces. but anything you like is fine where do I send?
TrekkieGrrrl posted Sat, 21 August 2010 at 8:41 PM
Uhm.. is it legal to send the CR2 to anyone who doesn't have it in advance? Or was that only the earlier versions of the Daz figures? (since they contained morphs)
