What steps are you going through?  Are you selecting the checkbox for all the items you want exported?

Einzelganger posted Sat, 21 August 2010 at 7:12 AM

yup, and leaving the ticks in the next box as they are.
it gets as far as showing the saving window, then finishes
but all it has output is 0kb files.

Try checking the UNIVERSE box, which deselects everything, then check the V4 box which will select V4.
Maybe this will help Poser get out of whatever weird loop it is in. I can export obj's in P8.

Try creating a primitive shape like a sphere or cube in P8, and see if you can export that as an obj.

What happens if you export in another format, say Collada?

heh, was doing that as you posted :D

but even a simple sphere wont export
i run poser as admin, so i don't think its anything like that
other formats export something
though some export  garbage (collada)

Have you upgraded to SR3? Poser 8 in its early versions had problems with obj exporter on European systems, the ever-present comma issue I think.

It was solved in later SR's I thing even SR1, but not sure. I can export objs just fine from mine, Danish Windows,  P8 SR3

PERHAPS Poser's exporter has been corrupted then. I'd try reinstalling Poser on top of itself to make sure it's updated
