Hard to say really, only change I know about is the product page, which from my vendor point of view is kind of ok.  It needs some tweaks but overall I like it.  I think we would all benefit from having Landscape Images instead of Portrait, in this world oof widescreen monitors and suchlike.

So for product pages I'd say 6 at the moment, 8 if they make a few tweaks and get the descriptions in the right place.

The rest of it I'd rate a 4, since the search doesn't work and it's all a bit jumbled and chaotic.

I don't know about that, I'd think too much of 10 would necessitate 1 :)

I like the changes and think its a step in the right direction for sure. I like the "Lightbox" popup window for the promo images.

I'd give it a 8.5 out of 10.

Fresh Donuts definitely(not so sure about the bacon though) and a 10,sure its got some glitches,but so have I and Im still working on them. lol .
So give it time and itll get sorted.
Like the way that the selected product is presented now.

it's slower.  i like the gallery link to see what people have rendered with the content.

why is description the first thing? it should be the next one where all the information is.

I agree with - I think it was - Acadia in her thread: Editorial is not the same as Description. That label is mis-leading. And one really does have a hard time sorting out whether this is a stand-alone product or an add-on. That should be prominent.

The look is good (if the look is not destroyed by an oversized first promotional image), but the functionality sucks (until Opera ran my script over it, then it's fine for me) :-)

The description is mostly empty, because the former description was moved to the editorial tab, so vendors have to update all their products with a new description... manually...
And the required product wasn't correctly listed before the change either, the "Required Product" part is still there for other products...

 I like it.  The old way of loading 10 full size product illustrations on the first page was kind of tedious, especially on products I was just wanting to get a quick view of.

It still needs some work but I'm sure it'll be accepted eventually.

I like the organized look, but some products look like they don't have any description whatsoever. Does the main picture represent a piece of clothing? Or a texture collection?Or some poses? A hair figure? A V4 character, perhaps? And I think that's because some vendors put their information under "Editorial" instead of under "Description," which is the default tab you see when you open a product.

Of course, that doesn't matter with those vendors who don't believe in descriptions anyway. :)

It's not really the vendor's fault that the former content and description are now the editorial tab and they have to manually add a new description...

I think the tabs are nice for keeping things organized (provided that they get used properly) but I absolutely hate the picture viewer. I would at least like an option for right clicking the images and saving them. When I purchase items, I don't always install them to my Runtime directory right away, so I create a folder with the name of the product, put the ZIP(s) in there, as well as all promotional images for the product, so that if it's quite a while before I install the item, I can always go back to the images to see what the heck it was that I downloaded.

Overall, I give the update an even 5. Even though 5 is not an even number.. c.c

Well I have noticed I spend less since it changed, so I suppose that is a good thing for me, I really hate side tabbing then down scrolling up scrolling more side tabbing. And I had to enable scripts again which I had off because of the recent issues that this page had.

I am not a fan and am spending less time browsing products now so I'll give it a 3.5 at best

Spending less??? Jeez, that can't be good? Maybe others are having that experience? Perhaps Rendo should take a poll?
Or maybe they should have allowed users to try the new interface first (like google mail and hotmail live did) and rating its ease of use before rolling it out?

I know: I've got 20/20 hindsight... lol :biggrin:

I'm barely looking now either.
I liked the large preview. I could see what I got and didn't have an extra click on some nasty flash type scrolly thing.

It might have made sense to do this... IF everyone had updated their product pages at the same time. As it is? No thanks. I barely look now, and there are too many thumbnaily things on the page and the product images get lost.
This may make sense for new products, but for the old ones it does not. Since I usually look at older products, for me this doesn't work at all.
Now if I want to see a big image, I have to click on "Editorial" to actually see what the product contains.

Can I give it a minus 5?

I am in China on business for a few more weeks and on a slow connection like I have been on and the fact they block certain graphics portals in China it is way better then before. When I get back home on my cable modem, I think I would prefer the old design.

But I am sure after using it for a bit it will grow on me, and I will get used to it. The merchants will figure out how to make it work better to express - display their products and all will be good.

My rating is give it some time.

I am not fond of it at all. I hate the pop up thing. :( I've read lots of threads about this, nobody seems to like it much.  shrug  I noticed that I barely look at the products anymore just at the thumbs.

 I noticed that you dont have to click on the 'next" to get to the next image, you can click anywhere on the image for it to go to the next one ... at least thats how chrome did it for me.

i dont mind it, its neater and more uniform now ... but i do hate that i have to go to the editorial tab to view more images because they weren't moved to the promo windows..... shrugs thats just me.

i'm getting used to it.
