Hello all,
Does any of the Brycers remember the fire texture called Clay's Fire, for Bryce 4 & 5. It was static in Bryce 4 and then reworked fo Bryce 5 so it could be animated. The site that had it is no loger around. Does any one where I might find it? Did a google, but to no avail.

Just downloaded the file, Thanks AgentSmith. And yes, Rayaz, Clays Fire is on of the best things that was made in Bryce. Thanks all.
Hey, TheBryster is a forum mod, do you think you can upload it to the Free Stuff area for others? What with Bryce slowly making a come back .... slowly.
abg24 posted Mon, 30 August 2010 at 8:11 PM
Ooopps! I tried to install the Bryce 4 Claysfire texture and Bryce 7 ple, will not load it. But I did find an old tutorial on his texture at Brycetech here is the link;
http://brycetech.daz3d.com/tutor/bryce/fire_n_ice.html#Fire
I've followed the tut and I think I'll load it up in the free stuff under bryce.
AgentSmith posted Mon, 30 August 2010 at 10:39 PM
Didn't think of that!
Here is a new zip with also just the .mat file included for importing straight into your Materials Library and if that doesn't work try just copy/pasting into one of your Materials folders manually, hopefully one of those way will work for ya!

I found Clay on the web last night, and he had a copy of Claysfire. I also asked him if I could post the freebie here at Renderosity under his name, what with not being able to find it any where else on the web. He gave me his okay to do so. I'll load it up to the site tonight, when I'm released from my prison (my job).
It sure would be great if Clay would come back and post a few new Bryce pics. Give us lil' puppies a run for our money. And a chance to learn from an established artist. After all, he was the reason I took up Bryce.

I'm goint to post both the fire and the ice, along with this a quick tut on the material settings for the two.
And I would like to send a special thanks to AgentSmith for the zip on ClaysFire. I didn't forget, it was a pain in the arse today at work, what with the warden (boss) on a rampage ... all day long.
One more thing, can I add the Bryce 4 fire texture to the zip? I think it would be a great help to those that are still using earlier versions of Bryce.
Chow,
Aaron

Okay folks, the original Claysfire and Snow1 -yep, I found a copy of the snow, Bryster, - mats have been zipped and uploaded. I also added four screen shots from the materials editor of Bryce 7. Now I'm off to bed. Four hours of sleep in the past 48, makes for a very cranky person. I should know! I have to put up with mayself ... ALL DAY LONG!
Ya wanna know something else? I cant rember just what it was I was going to use Claysfire for, in the first place.

very useful for smoke on the water. use a sphere with a smoke mat for the smoke. nearly a classic bryce image i think

Also try displacement on the ice etc, its processor intensive, but you can get some neat effects!

Oh yes, I love Clay's Fire mat, I've used it many, many times and I too love it in Blue, but it looks great in lots of colours, I was recently playing with a red render and a green and blue one, and ended up with this: The Ever Changing Orb which I just now posted in my gallery (about time I added a new image.)
So Clay, if you have any more mats to share or even better your expertise, it will be much appreciated by me, and probably loads of others too.
