I have a morphed V4 saved in my PoserPro 2010 characters folder. It's older and V4 has by now added channels for S4 and SF4 and whatnot. The saved figure has not, of course. How can I change that V4 to the new one.
I do not remember what chara I used and I know this has been asked before but I can't find the threads... I use the wrong expressions it seems.

It's going to take some work.
I'd load the older character.
Use Menu>Scripts>PrintInfo>ListFiles to see what textures and props are saved with it.
Make sure the BODY is selected. Menu>Edit>COPY or Control-C to copy the data.
Open a new text document or spreadsheet and Control-V or Paste. Make a printout of this.
This will list dials and settings used in the older version.
New Scene Poser, load the later version of V4, inject the SF4 or whatever data you want, use the above printout to reset the dials. Use the PrintInfo>ListFiles to select the skin texture you originally used.
There's probably a script or easier way to do this, but I'm old school - I like complicated.. ::biggrin::

There is a new V4 update which may complicate things a bit. Dlfurman's suggestion seems the most feasible solution.

Or try this:
Load old character
Load new copy of V4
Select Body of old character
PressCtrl-C
Select body of new V4
Press Ctrl-V
The character should now be transfered. To handle the texture, go to the material room with the old character selected. Click on the texture panel fhen click on the filename just above "Browse". This is the path to the textur you used. You ought to be able to figure out what texture it was from that info.
I'm not old-school... I'm just old, and I think simple is better! ROFL.
If this doesn't work, then DLfurman's suggestion is the only option I can think of.

Thanks to all of you. I'll try dlfurman's way...
basicwiz - I tried that already, but I must have loaded GND or Alice or Prettybase, any morph that doesn't use dials - it didn't work this way, anyway. ^^

Basicwiz, trying to locate a texture through the Material Room's Texture Manager the first time after activating Poser will not work. In many instances I've seen, it takes you to a default setting located within your main Poser runtime folder. If you are working with externals, it becomes problematic until you initially establish an absolute pathway at the beginning.
