I got Carrara 8 pro a few months ago. MAC OS 10.4.11...I have a very irritating problem..When I go to a flat view such as LEFT, RIGHT, TOP, FRONT, ect from the directors camera view, 90 percent of the time there is nothing there.... I have to zoom out about 12 times till I see a tiny little black box, and the view will be something like .001 percent of zoom. Then I have to zoom zoom zoom zoom in and there is my scene..

But some times I can get the view scene right if I Go back and forth from Directors view to the view I want, but may have to do that a dozen times, till I get my scene in the view...

Also when I go to the Front, left ect and there is NOTHING in the view it is at 100%

PLEASE ADVISE??

Rich

 Hi RR,

  1. Make sure you've upgraded to the latest version of Carrara.
  2. Use the keyboard shortcut "0" to zoom to selected object.
  3. C8 still has some bugs - especially on the Mac side, notably visual/screen redraw problems.
  4. There is an additional patch being prepared for release soon hopefully.

Mark

I have Carrara 8 pro 8.0.1.45. Is that the newest version?

The last version made publicly available was 8.1.32 It is a Beta version of the patch

Ya and by the way, this bug persists in the windows version.  I have to click on the default zoom and pan every time I re-open a file.  According to my version of C, it says I'm on build 8.1.0.31.

I am not complaining... Well yes I am complaining... But this bug is unacceptable. But what are ya gunna do.. I think DAZ was under pressure from it clients to release C8 and they should of waited. I do have to say though....I was skepical about he render improvements THE  200% Speed increase was hard to believe in the advertizments.. While I doubt 200% but it is sped up a lot!, and that is a huge plus with me!

I hope to enjoy the normal maps when the oppertunity presents it self as well

Some one at DAZ set me straight The white hand under the spot render cured me! I would of never figured that out in a million years!

You hit that HAND and hit reset 2D! PERFECT
