There's not much out there for free, and even less worth the time it takes to download it.
If you're starting from scratch, allow me to recommend that you spend $40 on a one-month subscription to Poserworld.com. Then you can download hundreds of items at no further charge. It's a great way to get a base of materials if you are new to Poser. The quality is variable, but at the price, it's a major bargain. Then you can feel better about "filling in the blanks" with the more expensive items at the other sites.
If you can't afford that, then I'm afraid I can't think of much to offer.

Actually, there's a lot of stuff you can get for reasonably cheaply at Daz3D once you've joined the Platinum Club. I hardly notice that $7 / month, and the amount of PC stuff available for all figures at rock-bottom prices is nothing short of mind-boggling.

Just wanted to affirm this...I am also member of PC for long time.
There is also signing on bonus. I got opportunity to download about 50 different packages for free after obtaining membership.

Forgot about that, Medzinatar... I've been a member for ages, I guess. You get like several hundred dollars worth of stuff you can download for free. I got all sorts of stuff for V3, who had just come out, I think.

In general, clothes have been harder to find for Mike vs Vickie (don't know if it's life imitating art, or art imitating life...;)
In general, it seems there's fewer free items than spendy for the guys, vs more free for the ladies.
Try whatever3d, and freestuff (as mentioned above), or even google 'em.
