I have a great courtroom prop, but can't find any judge's robes for M4 or V4
estherau posted Mon, 11 October 2010 at 5:49 PM
I second that. there may be some graduation clothes somewhere - maybe content paradise.

that's a good substitute
but I hope some artist reads this and makes a judge's robe for V4 and M4

Yes, I would snap them up in a flash. Not all poser people are good. And there's plenty of poser jails, and prison cells, and a few poser courtrooms, some poser police uniforms, and one police motorbike (and a police motorcycle uniform for M2 without the gloves), but it's just that one step. Afterall they are innocent until found guilty.

I used Adam Thwaites' freebie dynamic Poncho for V4 to make this image
http://artzone.daz3d.com/index.php?/gallery/user/vi/&mid=144273&aid=6008
The Poncho is basically a circular plane, I used the group editor in Poser to cut out some space for the sleeves and to create the material zones for the trim. Also a trans map for the front opening, I found keeping the front complete helped keep the cloth on the character better than a "reaal" open front.
Still looking for a full judges wig though.

@ 3Dave
just checked out your image, real nice!
it did look like a judge's robe. didn't think about the wig, but that would be a nice touch
calling Renderosity artists -- is anybody listening???
:-)

I accept the robe challenge for V4 at least. Might take me a couple of days, but it will be a fun diversion for my spare time.

Well, here's what I ended up with: http://www.sharecg.com/v/44618/Poser/Judges-Robe-for-V4. It was actually quite fun to make (my first major foray into dynamic clothing) and I hope you'll have fun with it Let me know what you think!

awesome. thanks so much!
talking of dynanic, there was a good thread about adding thickness and seams. not needed for judge but if u do any others it looked like a great technique.
